There is no doubt that for most women, pregnancy, delivery, and the postpartum period is just a magical and delightful time of life. Unfortunately however, in some cases hormonal changes and significant weight gain and then subsequent weight loss can take it’s toll on Mom’s body. Hips remain a bit wider exaggerating any underlying disproportion. The distribution of fat around the hips and abdomen may be significantly altered and accentuated. Muscles of the abdomen can be relaxed, stretched and loosened. Changes of one’s breasts also occur usually caused by loss of volume and stretching of the skin envelope, leaving Mom with smaller, droopy breasts.

A not uncommon request for many postpartum women is for a “Mommy Make-Over”. This combination of procedures consists of an abdominoplasty, a breast augmentation or lift, or combination of the two, along with the possibility of some liposuction.

An abdominoplasty is the tightening of the abdominal musculature as well as removing excessive skin and fat from the abdomen. The result is a much tighter, shapely, and more youthful abdominal area.

Breast surgery usually consists of reconstituting volume and shape to the breast. This is done by a simple augmentation which adds volume, a mastopexy which lifts and changes the shape, or a combination of the two. The end result of any of these procedures results in an uplifted, shapely, youthful breast with an enhancement in the overall fullness.

If necessary, liposuction, usually in the hip and back area, can be performed at the same time.

The combination of these procedures, done at one time and easily tolerated, results in a fantastic rejuvenation of the post-pregnancy breast and body area. It brings back your youthful, attractive, and curvaceous body.
